Yups. thats how long it takes for a laptop be to reformatted, reinstalled with windows & drivers. Its unbelieavable, the amount of time it takes. IF i weren't to sit there and wait for him to do it, i think it would have took 2 x forever the time. This new guy in the IT Dept, really is the master of procasination. Couldn't find the drivers(due Wrong CD), kept on trying and trying. Hello!?!? it doesn't work the first time, means it wun't work whether you try it the 2nd or 3rd time. The drivers are not in the CD!!! dumb ass.
Then he started to look for other cds around the office and started trying it. I really wanna strangle him. Search from DELL site. It takes 2 minutes, and 15 minutes download time. Thats all it took me to find the drivers and downloaded it (Yes, when he gave me the laptop, some of the drivers are still missing). Arrggghh!! one laptop, and he takes 8 hours to do it. Imagine if 4 or 5 laptops, so? He has to take 40 hours to format/reinstall everything issit? Bloody hell.
I might not know how to setup the user access and all, but i know HOW LONG it takes to install windows with fully working drivers, even without the installation CD.

Eh.. cause i like small fonts lor. And did u know that i can't read your blog, the color contrast .. fonts and background. heheh difficult ler if the font and background same tone.
there r 2 foreign trainees in my company. one day they were complaining abt the inefficiency in malaysia's govt depts. They concluded that "10 malaysia working days equal to 2 normal days in their home country". What a shame!
and now with your experience, i wld say that v r still ok, kakaka...
QQg: the working days here officially is from saturday to wednesday. But in real life, people here only work 3 days a week. Monday to Wednesday only. Saturday & Sunday is when rest of the world are off. So nothing much can be done also.
